A fully restored bourgeois house with a terrace and independent studio in Carpentras in Provence . This late 18th century residence spans some 300 m² and is two storeys high over a ground floor. Its east-west exposition ensures it benefits from sunshine throughout the day. Its main façade, built of ashlar limestone, is covered in a pinkish rendering that develops a patina over the seasons and takes on different shades depending on the time of day, with almost no ornamentation. The varied-sized windows are straight with large window panes, moulded stone sills, painted wooden shutters and, in some cases, a wrought-iron grille or balustrade. From the cul-de-sac leading to the house, the first floor is accessed via a wooden door, which opens onto a large entrance hall. To the right of the door there is a small building with its own access from the cul-de-sac and, to the left, a garage door with a basket-handle arch, framed by ashlar. Finally, each of the building's three sections is topped by a gable roof with canal tiles. The three roofs are different heights and highlighted by a genoise, in one, two or three rows. The roofs have several roof windows, which bring light to the top floor, which is comfortably set out under exposed beams. The house, which has been completely restored, has retained the soul of a family home in the city, with a touch of modernity, with a highly contemporary colour scheme that defines the various areas. In addition, a large terracotta-tiled terrace bordered by a swimming pool with stone decking is almost indispensable in the region. The peace and quiet of the cul-de-sac creates a pleasant atmosphere to live in, sparing residents from any noise pollution.
