124 m²
Aiguillon-Port, La Teste-de-Buch
With traditional architecture inspired by resin collectors' huts, this 124 m2 wooden house opens onto a landscaped plot with a 700 m2 swimming pool, near the town centre of La Teste de Buch.
Built in 2021, this architect-designed, longère-style house features a timber frame with exposed Landes pine beams, a feature that is prominently displayed in the living area, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The double-height living room and its open-plan, fully equipped kitchen are flooded with natural light thanks to large, custom-made aluminum windows. A spacious bedroom with an en-suite shower room is located on this level, while two further bedrooms with sloping ceilings upstairs share a shower room. Designed with sustainability in mind, the house maximizes sunlight with its east, south, and west-facing windows. A centrally located pellet stove heats the entire home. The wood of the flooring, beams, and cladding contrasts beautifully with the pebble-gray aluminum and the glass of the windows. The kitchen adds a contemporary touch with its white lacquered cabinets and black Zimbabwe granite countertop. An adjoining pantry/laundry room opens onto the rear of the house and shelters a small terrace under the trees. The living room opens widely onto a large wooden terrace, a swimming pool, a pétanque court, and a summer kitchen with a dining area. The entire property is surrounded by a wooded garden and sheltered by tall hedges planted with native species such as laurel, strawberry trees, pittosporum, and bottlebrush.
A wooden house that echoes its surroundings.
