A unique modernist villa with a sweeping view of the River Garonne and vineyards, 30 minutes from Bordeaux. The property is located at the top of a hill. An electric gate leads into it. Beyond this gate, a gravel drive leads to the house, which lies at a lower level, and then to a solid timber construction where three cars can be sheltered. The interior of the villa was entirely redesigned in 2024 by the interior design agency Vaissié Studio. It offers a 390m² floor area and reveals a new harmony from its full renovation. Old and modern materials are brought together elegantly. They include polished concrete, lime plastering, walnut, beechwood and natural stone. Each room looks out at a panoramic vista that spans more than 180 degrees. The natural light and views create an aspect that recalls the spirit of feng shui. The hillside dwelling looks out at the River Garonne valley. Indeed, you are struck by this breathtaking view from the moment you step through the entrance door. The villa is spread out over three levels. It is extended with terraces that outline it and invite you the contemplate the surrounding landscape. A few split-level rooms that are subtly arranged seem to hang in mid-air. Huge picture windows, most of which slide open, make it easy to move smoothly between the inside and outside. A polished terrazzo floor extends across most of the indoor spaces and goes well with the lime-coated walls tinged with pale pink. And the villa's flat roofing is punctuated with gravel here and there.
