A 17th century listed former presbytery, outbuildings and garden in the heart of Rouffach, along the Alsace wine route . The property, in a peaceful setting and not overlooked, is separated from the street by a partially rendered rubble stone boundary wall and by a long barn containing stables. The courtyard is accessed by car via an archway surmounted by casements featuring traditional Alsatian vineyard motifs. There is another entrance for pedestrians through a gate with moulded yellow sandstone doorframes. The house was Rouffach's presbytery until the French Revolution (the motif on the door is the same as that of the church) and it later became a winegrower's house. It is surrounded by a 1500 m2 garden planted with trees, part of which is paved with pink Vosges sandstone. With a total living area of 346 m², the house has 12 rooms over three floors. The building, listed as a historic monument and fully restored from the year 2000 onwards, has a main body dating back to the early 17th century and an 18th century wing to the north. These two sections are connected to each other on the first and second floors by two doors, meaning they can be separated into two independent living areas. If a building is classed as a historic monument a specific tax regime is applied. Certain expenses (works, loan interest, property tax, insurance, etc.) relating to protected areas can be deducted for up to 50% of taxable income.
